We brought our grandkids to the movie thinking it sounded like a good story that had some potential to be a great family movie. Critics said, 'in terms of family night out at the movies, it's a solid pick' and I respect Mark Wahlberg standing up to advise us all to prayer-up. Overall the story espoused some pretty good values; perseverance, loyalty, esprit de corps, and no man or dog left behind. However, I believe they ruined a perfectly decent family-type movie by the formula addition of Hollywood language; including a couple of F-bombs, as well as a few instances of their all too familar trashing of the 3rd commandment, teaching us not to take our Lord's Name in vain. In our estimation, as well as the kids, both teens & preteens, all that was absolutely unnecessary and disappointing - would have been a four without the language.
