Right up my boulevard, it's like a brainstorming session, not only are there traditional and surreal gags, there's very specific and scattered visual and audio references to technology, culture and fashion, in the rare moments there isn't a joke there's so much to see and hear. The plots are often disjointed and physical gags violence exaggerated and cartoon like. Although there's a beginning and end to each episode the journey is always one of whimsy. Toast's only flaw is that he's pompous yet you forgive him as everyone he encounters seems to screw him over. Think Police Squad/The Goodies/Monty Python/Bottom//Two Ronnies/The Mighty Boosh..
