One of the most impressive installments in Pokemon videogame franchise. Introduced a lot of new storytelling elements and set the standards for character development. Without PMD2, there would be no N or any other characters that it was humanly possible to be emotionally invested in; we would have the same featureless NPC templates that we got from PMD2's predecessors. The gameplay was exactly what you'd expect from a dungeon-crawler, no more, no less. Besides, the beautiful score and the gorgeous textures more than made up for the standard dungeon-crawling mechanics. Although the game does get a bit draggy during it's second act, the ending is completely worth the wait.
