Man this is such a beautiful movie. The realities of it all sure aren't but i just love it. It hurts my heart to see this all, even just a dramatized 6 hour representation of the real events it's based on. This is a story that needed to be told. Even though none of my ancestors were slaves, even though I personally cannot relate to the heartache, the perspectives from those who were and do is real enough to break your heart. It all just makes you thankful. We're seeing a new perspective to the History we grew up on.
