I have just watched this despite being aired 6 years ago and I thought it was absolutely brilliant, Agness Deyn's acting was superb, her pain was palpable, Jim Sturgess, Derek Riddell and the rest of the cast were excellent too. I can't believe some of the bad reviews as it was action packed, on the edge of your seat suspense and great story line. I would have loved a second series but sadly it wasn't to be. Well worth watching.

Surprised to see some negative reviews. I loved it! Unmistakably Guy Ritchie with his usual brilliant direction and fantastic performances from Henry Cavill as the captain and Babs Olusanmoken as the spy. Great performances from all of the cast, beautifully shot scenes at sea, as usual superb music to capture the escapades, all topped off with it's quintessential old boy talk,

I loved it. The twists and turns were brilliant, the action was fantastic and the acting was superb. Loved the Lesley Manville and Stanley Tucci scenes. Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra were the centre of it all and were excellent. I didn't want it to finish. I really can't understand why some reviews were negative. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely loved the first series, and the second is even better. I have learnt so much about farming because of this show, and the battles our farmers experience. So sad I've finished it. The whole series was humorous, heartwarming but heart wrenching too, from the cows giving birth, to the wildlife and meadows, and to the builders and chef overcoming adversity to build a farm restaurant and serve amazing farm produced food in just 2 days! You also see how the district council treats JC and it certainly was unpleasant. Roll on series 3.

Awful, the accents were appalling and switched off half way through. Over indulged violence and nonsense.

Watched both series and thoroughly enjoyed them. Mark Strong was superb, portraying the lead character as a self assured master surgeon, who was conceited, and perhaps selfish but he was also vulnerable when it came to the love of his daughter and Anna. Daniel Mays was also superb as ever, his character always at the end of bad luck The plots were full of twists and turns, and were quite exhausting to watch as you knew something bad would happen and wonder how the characters would get out of it. Hoping for a third series.

Series 5 is in my opinion the best of all of them. I was gripped, sitting on the edge of my seat, hiding behind cushions and shouting at the TV with all the twists and turns, and dastardly plots, it really had it all. Alexander Dreymon is the man of my dreams, incredibly talented and brilliant as Uhtred. All the actors in this are superb and the battle scenes were epic. I really didn't want the series to end so I'll probably watch it again!! This show deserves an award and far more recognition. I thoroughly recommend it.

Absolutely brilliant !! Jamie Dornan, Danielle Macdonald were superb, and the rest of the cast were very good too. It had me gripped and the humour was just right, the Aussie laid back approach to everything along with Dornan's wry one liners and questions in his gorgeous Irish accent. The plot was excellent and guessing who the character Dornan played was and what had he actually done. Definitely recommend.

Brilliant. Cleverly written, witty, tongue in cheek and gritty. The acting was very good and Hugh Grant was superb.

Slow to start, we thought it was too broody, and then suddenly we were hooked. Very cleverly written, the acting was superb and we were sad when it finished. Good, gritty drama that shows how hard it is to be a copper and what they can get entangled in.
