Don’t get me mistaken, I love Tim Burton... sleepy hollow, Sweeney Todd and batman 1989 are and will always be one of the greats. However every director has his slip up... E.g. George Lucas had the prequels series. This was truly Tim Burtons slip up. Despite the movies costumes and alright acting and really good casting (for his made up characters that is), there’s so much wrong with this movie. With no relation to the book this movie would be fine on its own without the book, which is much better by the way... so let me correct this movie for you. Movie corrections: . Emma and olive are the wrong way around so imagine movie olive being called Emma and falling in love with Jake and Movie Emma being called olive and uncontrollably levitating without control of air! - by the way olive is like 9 in the book I Am completely For the aging up of book olive (movie Emma 🙄) due to the awesome acting by Ella Purnell, but just put her in the right place I also hate the fact they put movie olive (book Emma) next up Jacob on the poster to give the illusion that she was the love interest . The twins are only added in the movie. I am completely for them in the movie, Colleen Atwood did an amazing job and I love their inclusion of stone glare powers. But thinking they are in the books is wrong, there’s a photo of them... but they aren’t in the book . Honestly I love Eva Green, Casino royale is a great movie, but Miss peregrine is not Eva green. Green is a beautiful miss peregrine but I honestly don’t believe her as Miss peregrine... because she is LIKE 70!! . The hollow enters the loop? That’s a rule in the book that they cannot do that... EXPLAIN YOURSELF BURTON . I’m really starting to believe that Tim Burton doesn’t get the age thing. In the book Bronwyn is a strong masculine 15 year old girl who takes care of olive and Claire. In the movie she’s the same age as Claire and most definitely not the badass that she is in books. . In the book Hugh ( Bee 🐝 boy) and Fiona (carrot 🥕 girl) are much older and are in love with an amazing backstory however more notably... Fiona doesn’t speak! She looks like a cave girl with dreadlocks and is dirty . Enoch is bloody 12... please Burton fix the age thing . And then there’s the plot I’m the book miss peregrines home is infiltrated by the wights and they are all kidnapped, Jake and Emma kill a hollow and attempt to rescue miss peregrines from the wights submarine and get her back by killing doctor golan... or so they think. In the movie it’s well... the movie plot... Blackpool... MORTIFYING Overall this movie is alright if you never read the book. If you’ve read the book don’t watch the movie
