This movie was a solid 4/5 stars. Enough to keep my DC movie interest alive after James Gunn taking over. I was almost ready to walk away from DC movies after Gunn decided to reboot everything but I’ll continue to give him a chance. If he makes just one movie as bad a Black Atom though I’m done with DC.

Hooked after one episode. Actors really start to get comfortable And fall into their roles after the second episode. They captured the magic of the original Karate kid. Something about the underdogs leaning to fight and stand up for themselves against bullies is a timeless classic story that never gets old. I like how Johnny remains Johnny and stays true to the Cobra Kai ways and trains geeks to become vicious fighters that strike first, strike hard, and show no mercy. This twist on the plot makes it more interesting and complex than the original. Let’s just hope this doesn’t lead to the rebirth of the fake McDojos and ruin martial arts once again. Karate is no replacement for real MMA.
