True love story. It began slowly but really grew and grabbed your feeling of love from Alice and Jack to each other. Great acting, the people felt real.

Wonderful exposure of bias, self shame and prejudice through a historical novel. Only one main character is true to himself and the only to seem unsuccessful. The book subtly presents the opposite side of profiles in courage. This book should required reading in high-school.
