The Little Red Cabin is a delightful read and accomplishes a variety of purposes.It transports you to a time and place where we would all like to go; where life is simple and family is meaningful. It warms the heart with fond memories of childhood familial love. It causes you to reflect upon what is truly important in life. It creates a longing to appreciate the short time we have with those we love. This book, with it's short stories and poignant vignettes, is easy and enjoyable to read. I personally used it like a devotional. I read one short chapter a day and found myself drawn into deep and meditation that stayed with me throughout the day. I found myself recalling significant moments of my own childhood and reflecting on their impact on my life. Reading this book will leave an indelible positive mark on your life and thoughts.
