After watching this 23 years ago - it has still stuck with me. It was profoundly moving, realistic and tragic with a little sprinkle of humor and the sense of impending doom. As I grew up as a teenager in the 1970s - it resonated with me in many ways. The acting is superb. The writing is impeccable and the cinematography in a washed out "icy" color is stunning. As Thanksgiving is upon us during COVID this year - highly recommend watching - for first time or second.....
