This film is highly problematic. Let’s start with the casting. For a film to portray a very sensitive topic for the Eelam Tamil and their grasp with genocide in Sri Lanka and then have their main characters Sinhalese and <50% cast Tamil in problematic. It mocks and ridicules the pain of Eelam Tamil. If I could give it 0 stars I would. No amount of cinematography could raise the ratings from ashes for me. It’s vile.
