The story was a little confusing at times as your brain tries to make sure that you are correctly keeping an accurate account of multiple time periods and points of view.
The main 2 characters, the cop "Uncle Jack" and his 15 year old niece have a good on screen chemistry and evoke enough feelings of empathy for you to root for them along the way and see how every thing ends.
The movie obviously borrowed some of the plot framework from Denzel's blockbuster Deja Vu. This movie, however, spared all the sci-fi mystery backroom lab type of stuff that so often accompanies movies that break the laws of normal metaphysics.
I went to see the movie because a cousin of mine gave me a $25 movie gift card. After the price of the ticket I had enough left to score a small pizza and large icee. The theater was completely empty with the exception of myself. I actually had a pretty good time.
