Most people I have spoken to agree that there is absolutely no need whatsoever for the graphic manner of murders in this series. Throat slashing in the most vile and sickening way could have been less gruesome for a show that is clever, intelligent, and absorbing, it needn't have shown that. Bbc1 I don't pay for that would be better starting at later time as to avoid children seeing this, there's enough on our streets.
