Hegemony Cricket

Interesting concept, and for the most part, a fun watch. However, the relentless environmental preachiness and fear-mongering really ruined it for me.

Such a great in movie history. I'm watching mostly old/classic movies these days to escape the relentless woke/pc insanity of current productions. In the process I've discovered such wonderful works as this one.

It's very watchable and enjoyable, but there's a certain richness found in other mob movies that I'm not seeing here. I would recommend to others. I give it an A-

It feels like it wants to be another Mars Attacks, but misses the mark in almost every conceivable way. Mostly self-impressed artsy m4sterbation. The only reason I didn't give it one star is its visually interesting to look at

I enjoyed season 1 very much. Season 2 though, felt rushed and flimsy. Perhaps, that was due to there being no season 3, and the story needed to be wrapped up.

It's like All The Right Stuff, but really boring. The plot moves along at a positively glacial, tedious pace. People tune into stories like this, because they're looking for adventure. I'm on episode four right now, and not sure if I care to plod thru the rest. I'm guessing it is paced in this way with the intention of developing the story over several seasons, but that doesn't work if the audience doesn't have their imagination engaged, to give them a reason to stick around.

I'm presently on episode five. The hamfisted, PC posturing and virtue signaling in this series so far are all but unbearable. If the visuals weren't so fun to look at, I would likely have turned it off already. I'm hoping that at some point they will run out of current pop-culture memes, and make the characters more worthy of the Star Trek name. I will continue to give it a chance, but so far, less than impressed. At least, Rainn Wilson plays an appropriately despicable character.

I just finished season 1. This show is excellent. I appreciate that there's no beating the audience over the head with pop culture morality lessons, as is relentlessly common in the current shows. I'd put it right up there with The Shield and The wire.

Such a beautiful story. With circumstances in the world being as they are these days, I really needed something to make me feel good, and take my mind off of it.

This movie is stunningly beautiful to look at, and the acting is excellent. HOWEVER, there should be a flashing banner as large as the title itself, that makes it clear that this movie, historically speaking, is a boiling cauldron of hogwash. Few people read real history books these days, and tend to get their sense of history from movies and other entertainment. I would wager that a large percentage of the people who have seen this movie now believe that Mary Bolyn had a child with Henry VIII, that he raped Anne, and modern feminist sensibilities were alive and well. This is not the fault of the movie. Rather, it is a reflection of the terminal rot in our education system.
