I don't like the portrayal of him. They could have picked someone who is more like him on the inside rather than the outside. Also something about the incessant dramatization of his life comes across as shallow and profiteering. If anyone has read his letters they'd understand my sentiment. The verbal portrayal made him appear to be simple, when he was very evidently talented with words, as well as art. For once I'd like to see someone put emphasis on WHAT he lived for, what he had to SAY, his higher purpose and how that played into his suffering, and why so much of it was actually a personal choice of his, in separating himself from material things. I don't suppose that would make as much money but maybe would honor him more appropriately. But that's Hollywood for you.
