This has got to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. JLo doesn't come off as a hopeless romantic, she comes off as a narcissistic a-hole. The script is awful. The visuals are so sporadic and mindless. The acting is...definitely there. This feels movie is an out of touch auntie who is trying so desperate to stay cool and "hip". I feel so sorry for the other actual actors who had to be in this.

Severely disappointed with this series, especially after the two amazing seasons of Prehistoric Planet. At first I was very excited to hear that the series was going to through all major periods of life. To see rarely represented animals was what I've wanted to see. Especially creatures of the Triassic, Permian, and Paleogene. But goodness I was letdown. For the majority of the 50-ish minutes of the episodes the footage used is that of either generic nature shots or of modern animals. For example, in one episode that was 51 minutes long we only saw about 13-15 minutes of actual prehistoric animals. And the last episode we only see maybe 6 minutes. For a show that marketed itself as a prehistoric animal the actual show didn't have many to begin with. Hell the trailer has a lot of the footage used. And some of the footage was just recycled with a different dinosaur model. The only reason I think it deserves two stars is the skant time the prehistoric animals are on screen they look really good.

Luca has beautiful music and the visuals are stunning, it's a shame they're used in a tired story with boring and generic, been-there-done-that characters. When it comes to Pixar I expect deep stories that tackle complex emotions, situations, and universal obstacles; Luca felt like a pretty after school special. After great films like Soul, Coco, Onward, and so on, Luca felt hollow and blasé. The stakes were so low, I didn't care about the "obstacle". Quite a Luca-warm movie (couldn't resist, not sorry).
