Gopika Kanangot

Story lacks a plotline (or some form of conflict) and cuts between scenes randomly - i can appreciate that this was probably an attempt at recreating techniques used in english film however a conflict must exist for a movie to be a story. The only character I was invested in was suresh gopi, everyone had touching backstories but way it was communicated to the audience was jilted and random- too much telling not enough showing. The audience got a broad view of the character’s lives however depth was missing so i didnt necessarily care about most of the characters. This wasn’t a terrible watch compared to other Malayalam movies i’ve watched recently but I wouldn’t recommend it.
