In 1645, Sir Hugo Baskervilles was the owner of Baskervilles Hall, a big house in Dartmoor. He was a cruel man who didn’t believe in God. One night, the man saw a strange, black animal. It looked a dog with huge fiery eyes. The huge dog jumped on Sir Hugo and killed him. Sir Hugo was never seen again.
Since that time, many of the sons of the Baskervilles family have died while they were Young.
Three months ago, Dr. Mortimer found Sir Charles Baskervilles death near the house.
Sir Henry Baskervielle was from Canada. He was Sir Charles’ nephew and the new owner of Baskervilles Hall; because his uncle had no children.
Dr. Mortimer believed that Sir Henry was in danger, so he needed Mr. Holmes help.
When Sir Henry arrived to London, three strange things happened. One, he received a letter with threat. Two, someone stolen one of his new boot. And three, other boot was stolen, but it was an old boot.
Dr. Watson and Sir Henry went to Baskervielle Hall. There Dr. Watson met Mr. Barrymore (Sir Henry’s servant) and his wife; Mr. Stapletons and his sister, who were neighbour.
One night, Dr. Watson and Sir Henry saw Barrymore by the large windows at the end of the corridor. He was signaling Selden with a candle. Selden was the prisioner who escaped from prision and Mrs. Barrymore’s brother. The Barrymores gave him food and clothes.
Dr. Watson and Sir Henry wanted to cacht Selden; but they were late. The huge dog attacked and killed Selden.
Sir Henry was in love with Miss Stapleton; but her brother was angry about that. Later Mr. Stapleton invited Sir Henry to dinner on Friday night. He pretended to speak with him.
Dr. Holmes, Dr. Watson and the detective Lestrade followed Sir Henry. When Sir Henry went out the Stapletons house, they heard a Deep howling sound of a huge dog. Holmes and Dr Watson killed the huge monster with their revolver and went to Stapleton’s house. They wanted to finde de murderer.
Finally, Mr. Stapleton was Sir Henry’s cousin who was Roger Baskervielle’s son. And Miss Stapleton was his wife, not his sister. He wanted the Baskervielle money.
