Everything that this book states is the absolute truth, and the abuse never stopped for as long as I know for fact. My Son Christopher Sholly was there at dozier towards the end of 2003-2004 and was raped and abused there. He witnessed abuse of others also while there. This affected his entire life and he finally gave up. Every year after he was able to get home, he tried to commit suicide, and he finally succeeded taking his life on February 23, 2020. Why nobody is listening and trying to defend the actions of the Staff that worked there, is beyond my comprehension. This place was a horrible place for any young child to be at. This is a breeding ground for criminals, and teaches these young boys nothing more then how to be abusers. my Son had mental problems after that place, now he's at peace, but no thanks to Dozier or any of the Juvenile facility's in Florida.
