Wonderful pastiche and parody of 1950's science fiction B movies( I lived through that period) and there were alien "sightings' in America all denied by governments.and great parody of the staging a play peculiarities, the interfering playwright, the quirks of the dotevtor and the self obsessed narcissistic actors. I loved the reference to "Mars Attacks" when the "I remember you" awful tune played for a while, the one that finally got rid of the aliens as their heads exploded. Sheffield Showroom is still in its Westfest showing all the films. I loved Asteroid City.

A brilliant evocation of teen guerilla fighters descending into chaos in an un named South American country with great images plus a brilliant soundtrack.All the more amazing as I believe most of the cast were non actors and "the messenger" an ex leader of such a group. The ending is enigmatic to some extent but fearful for the "unknown" person rescued by the regime's helicopter. Must see it again.

A brilliantly filmed multi layered subject.It is possible that it is an outrageous parody of the Restoration comedy genre in an age of anything goes from 1660 onwards when the theatres re-opened after 18 years of Puritan rule or it could be a very sophisticated Carry On Lesbos type film.Acting is superb costumes wonderful and the camera work perfect.Worth seeing again.
