I was really excited to watch this show! But unfortunately, it’s disappointing and really dims a light on black women.. attaching stereotypical roles to each of them. While they continue to give white people the props for numerous things. It’s detrimental to the trajectory at which we are headed when it comes to black people furthering their success! But something that really set me off was a scene from episode 6 when they referred to Yoni steaming as being created by a straight white male…. Having a spiritual background and knowing that yoni steaming has quite literally been practiced in many ancient, indigenous cultures around the world and was most definitely not created by a white man!! It’s ignorance, misleading & irresponsible to continue an incorrect narrative that others will run with or repeat. Or the scene when the rich friend is struggling to keep up with her store and her friend recommended to get a rich white person involved.. as if there aren’t black investors?? There are plenty of successful POC and there are many more to come! This was a miss for me but I still encourage others to watch & for their own opinions. To each their own. ❤️
