I hate to give a movie like this a bad review, but I'm having an extremely difficult time believing this is the same Taika Waititi who brought us the brilliant Reservation Dogs. I don't really expect anything all that new from an underdog sports story (though Ted Lasso did it, right?), but this was just a lackluster story and the acting wasn't much better. I was also actually shocked when the coach spoke about football being more important than actual war. Seriously? That's right about when I'd had enough and decided to look on BritBox for something decent to watch.

Dear god, I thought, with this star-studded cast, what could go wrong? I'll tell you, at least what went wrong during the 15 minutes I forced myself to keep watching this awful collection of horribly unfunny jokes. Just that; a collection of horribly unfunny "jokes", bad deliveries, terrible script, and mediocre acting. I wanted to at least hang on until James Marsden's part, but I just couldn't. Instead I sat here, my face frozen in horror as the realization of how awful this thing is fully hit me. Jerry Seinfeld might have been one of the great comic minds years ago, but now his cadence and delivery are just so worn out that it's brutal to watch. I had high hopes going in, particularly since I hadn't read any reviews. That quickly changed as I reached out to the internet for validation: Can this truly be as bad as I think it is? Apparently it might not be, at least judging by Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes percentages, but I stand by my 1 star. I'd actually give it zero if I could.

You know how 30 Rock hurled jokes so fast that it sometimes felt you were continuously laughing the whole episode? This is funnier. The hilarious sarcasm and the complete and total creativity of swear words and insults just make this work. Plus, I think it's shot in the style of The Office, which makes it even funnier.

Love me a vigilante justice movie, especially one involving bent ex-CIA, private security twits, a couple heartwarming sub-plots, and a crazy wonderful Denzel Washington.

Let me start off by saying I'm not normally a fan of raunchy humor, but this movie was so much more than that. However, if you're super religious or uptight about the "spirit of the holidays", or if you dislike anything to do with drugs, this movie is NOT for you. I personally find drug stuff funny in movies like these, though for awhile there, Seth Rogan had me a bit anxious. The music was fantastic, the karaoke scene was perfect, the story was heartwarming, and I laughed out loud SO many times. Now this 63 year old woman wants to learn a Beastie Boys song and do E at a rave again, hahaha.

You know, I always like the movies the critics hate, so I won't waste any time defending my choice. This movie was silly, fun, ridiculous, and a great escape from this Covid nightmare. The things I got the biggest kick out of were Jennifer Aniston's facial reactions and Nick Swardson, who is hilarious in everything. I didn't worry about plot lines, but instead just laughed out loud the whole time. I really loved it.

I love this movie so much. I accidentally found it several years ago when I was low on cash, so I'd rent movies from the library. I fell for it back then and I've watched it several times since. It lifts my spirits and gives me hope. 💜

I mean, the show itself is decent but the acting by the main character is awful.

Gripping, edge of the seat storylines coupled with great acting makes this one of the best crime dramas I've ever seen. I'm really bummed there were only four short seasons.

I'm enjoying it, as well as Paul Rudd's performance and his wife's accent, but I haven't seen any references to one of my favorite '80s movies, "Multiplicity", which our family still quotes on occasion, and which was so funny I cried from laughing a few times. I realize humor and what we find funny has evolved over the years, so I'm afraid to watch it again. But I digress. Living with Yourself is funny in places, but to me it's mostly tragic.
