I read the book Shantaram and really enjoyed so what normally is the case, the movie disappoints in comparison to my own imagination! However, if I had not read the book I would have enjoyed the series. However, it was dragged out by just watching Charlie Hunnam and his friend Prabhu acting was interesting. Seeing how others live is an education in itself. Hollywood came together with Bollywood!! The accents were not as bad as other critics described. Bring on Series 2 maybe on Netflix as NF is running out of movies!! 😁

It’s a feel-good show where one becomes part of the Virgin River community but I can’t help think that most of these people are too good to be true! The script writers at least try to pull in some villains to make it more true to life! Enjoyable, all the same. 👍🌻

If a show makes me laugh, cry, remember and enjoy the actors and characters, then it’s a hit! I came home looking forward to watching the next episodes! However, if it were to go to Season 4 there needs to be a little more mystery and intrigue to keep my attention! I wondered if Mrs Lisa Perfect had a few skeletons in her closet to create a reason for Tony to be able to move on!!! I don’t like made up ridiculous endings, but it has got a little bit boring with so many “losers” being portrayed as normal British characters living in the neighbourhood! Those dreadful rude, crude men who should be the more successful leaders in society that are shown in the the pub scene and attending the fair need to move on too!! Not all successful people are distasteful and horrid!!!! Even showing the psychologist as a loser is not a good message-not funny! Good luck and look forward to Season 4!
