Steady yet predictable plot line. Lots of lulls in every episode that make you think “have I put the kettle on?”
Some exemplary acting and lots of mediocrity to match.
It’s not gripping a la Vikings or Guy Ritchie clever, but it’s not Downton Abbey.
3/5 chewing gum for the brain.
The principal characters don’t follow through on their flaws (despite their anarchistic bloodlines) - they keep threatening to though ;-)
