the storyline is ok, the dialogue and writing, marginal. it's kept my interest through 3 episodes, though (so far). mostly I am stuck on the questionable casting choices. it's not their acting, necessarily, although much of it is over dramatic and over acted. it's that some of the casting choices do not lend to authenticity or believability. make up is used as an attempt to cover the poor casting choices but in my mind it makes it worse. paired with the writing and dialogue, well...we'll see. ETA without revealing spoilers, I understand the casting choices; however , I am not sure it works. edit 2: laughable, but I'm still watching for the entertainment value There is something to be said for Neil Diamond music in the soudtrack, however.

I applaude the unique concept and attempt but it didn't work for me. The main characters (particularly Kevin) are basically walking stereotypes, as is their relationship. I find that the sit com distracts or takes away from the dark drama and makes the lead character's concerns less believable. I also seriously disagree that murder should be played off as an acceptable option for disliking your spouse! At least, that's how it comes off, as a joke.
