Slowest show I’ve since David Lynch’s Eraserhead. Director thinks that a 45 second shot of Miles Teller sitting in a chair is art. Looked like a promising show, but I should have taken heed of the 5 minute intro where the camera slowly circumnavigates the sheriffs car and deputy just standing there. Miles Teller is an accomplished actor, love his work, but they could have used a mannequin for most of his scenes. Didnt get past the first 40 minutes. Would have turned it off earlier but was stuck on my rowing machine and didn’t have the remote nearby. Director should take a film class in how to keep your audience engaged in your film. Don’t waste your time!

I read a lot of reviews that were critical of this movie. I strongly disagree. I saw bits of John Wick, Guns Akimbo, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill in it. All great movies to pay homage to. Most movies like this are just movies. You can’t take them seriously, just enjoy them for what they are. Entertainment. Acting was fine. Angela Bassett mimicking Ving Rhames was great. Kept me more than entertained as I did my evening workout on the rowing machine. Fun, entertaining, great to see mature female Hollywood icons playing fun characters. Not going to win an academy award, but good nonetheless.
