The problem with Naval Action is not the graphics or the setting, not even the idea of this genre of game, it's the decisions they make in order to run the game: micro transactioned DLC can only work, when the game it self works properly, which it does not.
Because the developers decided to break out all the elements that uphold a good ingame economy, and stripped the game from other servers, only lasting one main server, the game as it stands is broken: it is a shadow of its former self.
Multiple maintenances that they have to provide for some reason, which s fine, if only they didn't refresh your whole account and thus your progress in game, where you lose rank, ships (except DLC ships and Admirality ships, which is completely free of reals, which is ingame money) and reals.
Too that I heard that even If you do the tutorial, which I have completed, the reset will whipe out all that, so you grind for nothing, currently waiting for that to happen.
The developers have not made any significant changes to the game that would improve the game, even though it's now free. The fact that it is free, is concerning, especially with the decisions they've made over time, of this game's existence.
The game is playable but no progress will be made by the player. The entire model these developers have implemented are to draw players into buying the DLC's they made, which is heavily overpriced!
It's all we can play, so we simply play it, but only because we loved what it was, and not for what it now is. We as players stick to game only in the hope for better days to come, with this game, or a better replacement!
I give this game a 2 out of 5 stars, for the sheer fact that this is a fraudulent way of developing games.
