La Llorona was a movie that I was very excited about seeing. It was a traditional story that I grew up hearing about from my parents and it was something that me and other kids joked about when we were younger. To hear that this story that I grew up with was being turned into a movie was something that made me happy because I knew what this movie should look like. I think that my expectations of this movie were too high for what it was. They were not met at all. A white woman being haunted by a Mexican legend, and the Spanglish part of the movie were something that was completely disappointing to me and others. I think this movie could've been made better. I'm also scared easily and I was not scared at all. 2/10 stars effort.

I think that this movie was very well made! I love the character development throughout the whole story. Cher started off as a very cold and materialistic woman, and now she is a warm and caring person. I think that it is also great that she finds the love that she needed and realizes that she doesn't need all of her luxuries to be happy. I just think it's a little weird that she ends up with her step brother... I totally think that she should've found a different love interest... how wack!
