Adult's say matilda is for kids Beyond 9 or 9+; Kids say matilda is for 8+.
But I say it is for the age at which they can start reading books whether it be 3,4 or 75,80. Great book being a kid now of 12 saying every kid should read this book.

I haven't really watched the film. I have read Matilda. Though By not witnessing film I can bet The Book is and will be a lot more interesting than Film for you. I don't think all parts are shown in the film. Please try to find and read the whole book and I guarantee you would love it very much. Miss trunchbull or agatha in the end was terrified and nearly died and left Red Bricked house and Matilda the supernatural girl lived with Miss Honey as Mr and Mrs wormwood with their son went to spain due to a car related crime.
