We all want good to win over evil but in war hatreds necessarily accumulate. The message of refusing to allow hatred to win over you is an important one in our time, especially considering a lot of it is not the result of war and the hell that comes with it. But as usual hatred wins over the one who has no spirit that restrains it and so hatred consumes most among us. Will the people of a good spirit get victory over themselves and thereby defeat the dark side within each of us. That is the true message and challenge of The Rise of Skywalker. In a country that is so divided even though the very vast majority of the people are of a good spirit one would hope that Americans will unite against the power of the dark side in all of us.

I’m sure that we have enough movies telling the tale of how the valiant and mighty hero triumphs against overwhelming evil and opposition. We all like to see the good guy win especially when the villains are oh so villainous. The movies that we most need to learn from are the ones where the average good hearted Joe, with no special talents or powers but the things he holds true and keeping his undying faith in the worth of the fight against insurmountable evil simply because he must and his refusal to decide to live with and give in to the consequences of failure against said evil is just plain unacceptable. This is the American we used to be. This is the American we must always be by the grace of God.

This is the best movie I've ever seen that just happened to be hated by seemingly all the professional critics. By itself it is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Not only a story about a good man doing good things but in an extraordinary and Christlike way. He gave this family that he decided to love, the miracle of his service and love every day, wishing for nothing from them in the end and proving that whatever he was paid initially was not really what the man was worth. I am the kind of man who is moved by a sentimental movie but few movies have moved me to tears by the goodness and love it portrayed. It was extraordinary and deeply meaningful. My thanks to everyone whose talents made this a wonderful evening enjoying this great American work. Again thank you.
