Congrats to the Daily Wire on their entrance into the entertainment industry! This movie, which I watched without hesitation/getting up, is the BEST movie I have seen in a long time. It was riveting, full of action, & had violence that wasn’t gratuitous. I was amazed in the effective way the director used the main protagonist-high school senior Zoe Hull (played by Isabel May). She was tough, but her truthful, terrified performance felt very real. Zoe’s heroic reactions to the school shooters were realistic; no super hero strength here, just a portrayal of what people are able to accomplish when they dig deep. The writing was wonderful-backstory of each main or supporting character is told not with long expository scenes, but is woven through the story as it unfolds. It was easy to see why each character was the way they were and how they arrived here, with the story giving me just enough to feel like I knew or understood them. Since we have a daughter in her 20’s, actively teaching, who has been through actual bomb scares and a failed active shooter, this movie hits close to home. Run Hide Fight, the actual 3 words teachers are taught, is exactly the right thing to do. This is a movie I will watch over and over, since I know I must have missed little details here and there, plus this is a movie I want to have in my home movie collection. Daily Wire, this movie was a fantastic one to show right out of the gate-I look forward to their streaming service! I know this will take time to build, but I’m ready for a fresh lineup that is not typical Hollywood fare. Well done! AJ
