Overall, this film was enjoyable. Emily Blunt did and incredible job putting her own twist on Mary Poppins while still giving the audience a nostalgic feeling of Julie Andrews’ portrayal of the character. The children were also very talented singers and well cast. It was very colorful and visually pleasing, especially for children I would assume.
However, there was one absolute atrocious aspect of the film that almost ruined its enjoyment entirely: Lin-Manuel Miranda. His phony English accent was laughable and tempted me to leave the theater. He had several scenes involving a good bit of dancing, which was deplorable to say the least. He was horribly miscast and should not be so highly appraised for his dismal performance.
Apart from this, I overall had a nice time watching the film, although I have no desire to ever see it again.
