Lily Brooks Dalton’s book “Good Morning Midnight” is riveting account of isolation both terrestrial and extraterrestrial. Parallels in style and attention to detail to Andy Weir’s “The Martian,” which made a terrific movie starring Matt Damon.
“Midnight” was adapted for the screen by George Clooney as a moody, unfulfilled lone survivor of an Earth apocalypse - until the little girl Iris makes herself known. This is a terrific read if you’re a fan of science, individualism and terse, lean writing.
