To put a long story short, this message was really behind deep fakes, the technology allows you to put on another person's face in a video. It's in fact been the case where Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande have had deep fakes based off of REAL sex workers' videos. The deep fake videos became more viral. This movie just portrays the dangers of deepfakes, some people go as far to hurt themselves over it. And the hacking of the accounts of course.
