i have no words to describe this movie. from beginning to end, it was a rollercoaster of emotions. i felt veronica’s pain when watching everybody destroy the house she worked so hard on. i cringed so many times during the movie, i couldn’t count it, but the cringe is placed for the audience purposely. the cinematography is excellent. the plot is ambiguously confusing, but i somehow understood every moment. the only scene i couldn’t bare to watch more than once was the scene where it shows veronica’s reaction to the people eating her baby. jennifer lawrence’s screams were so raw, so perfect and so real. i wondered if they actually devoured a baby for the scene for jenn to respond that way. this movie is every introvert’s nightmare. i definitely wouldn’t watch this for a nice little movie before bed, but i certainly can say i enjoyed it as a mid-afternoon-boredom-spree movie. don’t watch this movie with your parents or anyone who has children. 9/10.
