This is a mockery of female empowerment. In this movie, Mulan is only equal to/better than a man because she is special, not because she worked hard. Spoiler Alert: No songs, no mushu, a random phoenix that does nothing, and Mulan reveals her secret on her own (and chucks her armor off? Like, girl, you need that). On it's own this movie is meh. As a remake/adaptation, it's bleh.
