Jodi Picoult never fails to keep a reader happy that they picked up her book. This book slowly grabbed me but eventually caught me completely as I became fascinated with the information on elephants, the dabbling with spirits among us, and then caught me by surprise with a twist I never expected. I can't give it 5 stars because it didn't grab me like Picoult usually does to start, but I can say it is one of those books that leaves a mark and keeps you thinking about it far after you have finished, therefore, I highly recommend.
