Follow the life of a legend in the making as the main character recalls the events of his life. Certainly the story is entertaining, full of ups, downs, and mysteries not yet revealed, but I implore you not to simply read this book and then put it away. Rothfuss has filled this book with hidden meanings, foreshadowing, and cleverly concealed connections. Even after nearly 30 listenings, I still manage to find hidden gems in this book and the second book The Wise Man's Fear. The third book Doors of Stone is not yet published, however even if it were never released, I would strongly recommend this story. 5 stars is simply an understatement. If all the other books I've read were accurately compared to this on a scale of 1 to 5, the vast majority would get zero stars while other favorites might eek out a 3.
