Actually throughout watching the film I was subconsciously shifting from 5 to 1 in my feelings about it.
So the story essentially is focused on isolated individuals somehow by chance coming together to witness a plethora of bizarre events all of which must be connected with some unexplained force. Conspiracy theorists should be thrilled.
Big name cast are good, the family are a bit jerkish and self absorbed, the Father and daughter who are the owners of the property where this takes place are supposed to be super connected, though we're not sure to what or to whom, just very connected.
Still, we only see bizarre events, angry deer mobs, flamingos, a ship not under anyone's control, planes crashing, strange unexplained noises...and then there's Keven Bacon's character all armed and prepared for all of this, though we don't know how or why? Was he connected or crazy?
Oh don't forget the all the white (all white?) TESLAs coming down the road because some strange force has taken the autopilot feature over making them all crash in the same place,
OK, if you like conspiracy theories and are satisfied with no actual proof of why all this happened, but want to see that technology is in the end meaninfless and unfulfilling...oh yes, that a little girl is fixated on the old series Friends...enjoy, this is your film,
It had great tension without any real plot development and left all the questions unanswered...good luck to these people, they'll need it.
