All those deaths were not worth the revelation by the posthumous computer scientist, even if Winston orchestrated it. The inclusion of the obscure Palmarian church doesn't serve a definite purpose either. I do, however, appreciate the thrills and suspense. I just hoped that they would have paid off in the end.
