HGTV is apparently for people who want to believe everything they see. Almost none of it is real. The shows are scripted. The “designers” are not interior designers. They do not do the planning or architectural drawings. Most don’t know what a support wall is! They learn that after they’ve been scripted to know it. Almost all homes are similar and they are walking advertisements for Wayfair, the major sponsor!
As a designer of over 40 years, it’s obvious that these shows are meant to entertain like most reality shows. People who want good interior projects always do better interviewing designers not decorators. Christina is sweet and pretty but has no design training. Would you trust a non professional with a 40 or 50 thousand dollar budget? Maybe those who agree to be on tv get great perks for allowing these “actors” to spend their money
