I am glad I never saw the first shows. But I did go to Veterinarian College because of the original book. I only read the first 4 chapters, and I knew that I needed to go to medical school for animals. I knew that was my calling for my future. I am now over 60 and writing my first novel about 5 brilliant university students that study medicine and science. The lead character studies animal medicine and it effects each of her fellow students. The main plot is how 2 students and their tech droid care for all the endangered animals of 8 different planets. The main character specializes in bird surgery, and saves many predator birds that are companions of the futuristic military. The real challenge is taking care of the oceans and our planet.
