There are some funny moments but I find the whole fumbling awkward protagonist thing uncomfortable to watch, not funny- though I think that may just be my own sense of humour. I feel the same way about The Office. The main character is an incompetent moron who is incapable of having a human conversation and she seems more like she's been in a coma for 18 years, not prison. All the acting is very good though. The whole thing seems very confused, like it can't make it's mind up whether it's a drama or a comedy, and it's not that great at either. I feel like it could have been very good if it were played straight as a pure drama, but the humour takes away from the poignancy, and the poignancy takes away from the humour so it's ultimately lacking in any realness and relatability. People just don't behave the way they are portrayed in this series and a lot of it feels very forced and unnatural.
