An audiovisual masterpiece with a sweet and yet emotionally gripping story with surprisingly deep character development. I've been slightly skeptical about what kind of not so subtle propaganda Disney might put into a second installment of a Shrek spinoff. And yet somehow I was instantly calmed down by the intro which reassured me that "this story is a fairytale" as if they could read my mind. From then it was just an absolute thrill ride and I've rewatched it more times than I'd like to admit. Upon rewatching you notice a playad of little details hidden in plain sight that just make it apparent that those working on the film really cared about creating a work of art instead of just taking the content rights, wiping their downstairs with it and presenting it as a lot of other sequels do.

A delayed game can still be great, but if you release a broken game, people will always see it as a broken game. Unfortunatelly CDPR felt pressure to release in 2020 and they did not deliver on their "coming when it's ready" promise. Luckily for the fans, they did deliver on their promise that they will continue work on the game and now after Phantom Liberty it's such a gem! They tweaked and polished the game mechanics. The customization stuff that seemed overwhelming is now very accessible, you can no longer abuse stim packs and grenades, until you run out, now they are infinite and cooldown based. Most of the glitchs and bugs are nowhere to be seen. The story writing, the characters, the feel of the game and the graphics are TOP. If you haven't been playing the game in it's previous sorry state, it is a must play right now, while you're waiting for GTA VI.

Uhh, believe the statistics on this one. No matter how much Rotten tomatoes tries to control the damage and the big G putting 5* reviews first. If you are unsure whether to believe the bad ratings and you still think it may be a good idea to give the show a try, just save yourself some time and don't do it... Remember, unlike movies, even mediocre shows can get to 70-80% rating, as a series usually finds an audience that gets involved with the characters. Anything below 60% rating on a series is a major red flag, despite that I gave the show a try when it came out and I have to say that even 50% is exaggerated. There is no box you can check in favor of this show. Bad CGI, horrible writing.

Let me start with the typical controversy about director's vs. theatrical. Director's cut is generally considered to be the version with more story and character depth, and it is the "original" version even though it was released after theatrical. You may read somewhere that director's cut is less puzzling because there are text inserts that explain the plot. That may be the truth if you watch it for the second (3rd, 10th?) time, but for the first time, even with inserts you're not missing out on any mystery. Maybe it's even more confusing, but in a good way. With that being said and out of my system. If you want to go with theatrical version, there is nothing wrong about that. The director himself says they're supposed to coexist and offer different views. Both versions do deliver amazing atmosphere, and a story that is dark, emotional and funny at the same time. I can point out things like the playful and meaningful camera work which along with great characters, natural dialogues and sound design makes this movie a masterpiece in my eyes, but the movie as a whole is just greater than a sum of its elements.
