Ok, hear me out. I know there are so many other reviews that say this, and you should heed them. This movie is so beautiful. It shows the developing relationship between Elio and Oliver not as two young men, but two people. It's like a memory, it's too good to be true. The ending broke my heart and left me feeling empty as if I had, myself, lost someone forever. The chemistry that Timothée and Armie had in this movie is impeccable, and it brings the characters so much life. The scenery in this movie is just splendid, the colour palettes are stunning, and even the way it's shot makes it feel like you're truly witnessing the romance between these two people. The soundtrack is also amazing (props to Sufjan for those amazing songs :)), and it is just an immersive experience.
10/10, so beautiful, and yet it leaves you feeling heartbroken and yearning for more.
