Season 5 introduced the great Karen Gillan as Amelia Pond and the truly comedic Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams. these seasons for sure felt a lot more consistent in terms of plot and story along with having the doctor and his companions together for almost 3 seasons unlike in previous seasons before the doctor had a different companion every season. For me, this made the bond between the 11th doctor with AMY and Rory stronger than his others. Season 6 had me anxious the whole season because of the addition of the SILENCE, man were they so creepy! great but creepy! season 7 had some of my favorite episodes from the 11th doctor which included a powerful speech from episode "rings of akhaten" yea.. just watch it. what a POWERFUL scene. I compare it to David Tennant's 10th doctor scene from season 4's "end of time" which I don't know if it has a title but I call it "you were always this" ...if you know, you know. im currently on series 8 with the amazing Peter Capaldi as the 12th doctor. watching each doctor eventually having to regenerate is always rough but its always been exciting to see what comes next.
