I happened to LOVE this movie, despite all of the "professional" critics' reviews. I watched it without any pretense, knowing only that it would be a Netflix-grade movie. For what I was expecting, I was extremely impressed. I found the film emotional and relatable. People who have known poverty, mental illness, and domestic abuse in their lifetimes will likely find this film a difficult, yet rewarding watch.
Not to mention, the soundtrack is beautiful and I have been listening to it on repeat on Spotify.
