I was looking forward to this series since I love Texas and Rob Lowe and the cast, and the plot was interesting but the liberal leanings are too much in your face! I have several gay friends and they’re not always having sex or talking about it. Why would I want to see this? Straight or gay, stick the the plot twists, not sex scenes. Also, how ridiculous is the casting? One self absorbed man, glad that he changed, one bi-racial couple, one gay couple, a drug addict, a transgender, a Muslim, and of course, illegals needing health care, so I’m wondering what’s next? A gender confused captain? A marriage with a nine year old girl? They covered all the racist remarks in one scene, which was pretty clever, but is this what we’re to expect? A lesson in humanity and diversity every week, or actual entertainment like the original 9-1-1, a great series! I’ll give it more more try. Austin is a great city, with wonderful music which they should showcase. I was completely turned off by the obvious liberal mindset that they stuffed into a one hour show. It’s as if they thought all Texans (and viewers) were stuck in the last century and they needed to educate us. Not! I’ll give it one more try. The writing needs serious improvement also.
