It's a Deadpool wannabe and I personally hated it. If you don't know anything about comics you might like it because you only know what you are being shown. Harley is great and the story is all over the place like it's a portrayal of her cracked mind. Casting all around except for Harley was terrible. The actress that played the Huntress seems to have never even acted in a high school play before, Rosie Perez was too old to be believable in fight scenes, Ewan McGregor was not convincing as a villain (more unbelievable than Will Smith as a big bad). Victor Zsasz is in it and he is also not only cast poorly, he is a functional moron Black Mask flunky. And they introduce Casandra Cain who in the comics was raised as a child to be a master assassin to serve Ra's Al Ghul and that eventually replaces Batgirl. In this movie, she is a chubby foster kid that is no more than a pick pocket. Oh and I almost forgot..."Black Canary". She works as a nightclub singer in Black Mask's club, they never explain why she just happens to be a Kung Fu master, make a reference to her mother that was a hero but don't dive deep into it, she uses her powers ONCE in the entire movie, the list goes on and on how they truly messed that character up. They have never used that character in a movie and with all of her deep history in comics THAT'S what they came up with?!?
DC once again tried to be smarter, cooler and edgier than they are and learned nothing from the Suicide Squad mess off a movie. They thought being able to curse in an R rated movie would make them Deadpool.....and it didn't. DC's animated movies are almost always fantastic. Why can't they now get a live action move right (other than Joker and Wonder Woman)?!? Is it better than Suicide Squad, yes. But that is a pretty low bar. Wait for it to be on cable when there is nothing else on to watch....and then watch Wonder Woman again instead.
