The best time slot was 9.30pm as the content was more risqué and imo heaps funnier. Had to make sure days work was done, dishes washed, kids bathed, fed and put to bed before grabbing a coldie from the esky and settling down to the best 2 hours of laughter for the week.
I watched the Hey Hey It's 100 Years last night and when it came to the segment of "What Cheeses Me Off" I do believe I heard my cousin's name, Adam Goodall from Puckapunyal (My uncle was in the Army there at one stage) mentioned.
I vividly remember a Red Faces segment where there was a lady called Sam performing. In come the different camera angles, fat jokes and Mac trucks references. Of course you wouldn't be able to get away with it on TV today, but I laughed that hard I started having contractions and went into labour with my eldest son. Awesome and great memories!!
